state fair

On Wednesday night we dropped Graham off at Nana and Papa's and headed to the fair with the two oldest rugrats.  This is one of those bucket list items of things I couldn't wait to do with my kids.  We were crazy and ditched the stroller, stayed up past our bedtime, and even went wild and rode three rides! The fair offered up everything we had expected including pregnant teenagers, fourty year old couples dressed alike, and unhealthy Americans eating deep fried hot dogs and elephant ears.

On the way to the fair Grace spotted one of the blue "H" hospital signs on the side of the road.  She said, "Look an H. Ba Ba Ba (like the sound of the letter B) for Daddy." We've been learning the sounds of the letters.  Clearly we need more practice!
We had so much stinkin' fun!!

Where's the key?

Farm boy at heart

I wish I could lay around like this pig and feed all my kids.

Nap time

This is the next edition to our little farm.

Wait up dad, this buckaroo is getting tired.

Check that out sissy!

Three's company

Hitting the slide with daddy.  This is after they held up the line because they were slow pokes going up the stairs.  Then, as the three of them were sitting down on their burlap bags, William let his go.  The slide operator had to pick it up half way down and bring it to the top.  Yes folks, it's our first time at the fair. We'll move on to the roller coaster and hold up the line there.

 Their first ride by themselves.

Mesmerized

 Ready for the coaster ride!

We have a thrill seeker!

Gracie & I in front of a very nostalgic place for me.  I've shown in this arena many, many times for Quarter Horse shows.  The smell just walking into this place brought back so many memories.
