We've spent a few days at our favorite blueberry farm picking organic blueberries. The kids LOVE doing this. William spends the entire session reminding all of us, "don't pick the green ones". Grace is methodical, quick, and quite competitive. Picking berries is one of those things I promptly added to my "can't wait to do with my kids" list. It's quiet, nostalgic, and full of wonderful chat time.
Mike and Penny joined us for a session and dedicated some of their time (along with my Mom) to picking for our family. We have 55 pounds to pick if we're going to freeze as many as we have in previous years. We have 20 to go. If they would just start picking and stop eating..................
Actually, I love it. It's the epitome of Summer.
Under that brim are juicy, blue lips.
"Yes I'm picking, Mom. See those two blues?"
So serious.
I'm in love with these two blues.
Graham hung in there quite well.
This winter, we'll be pulling out these frozen beauties for our Saturday morning pancakes with fond memories of our summer.
Oooh! Invite us next time. I've been dying to take the kids! Or maybe if you're feeling brave, we could go tomorrow? :)
